The new hospital is situated on a greenfield site adjacent to the new Pacific Highway north of Macksville to provide health services to the greater Macksville and Nambucca Valley area.

Carter & Osborne Electrical worked closely together with Hansen Yuncken to provide design and construct electrical services to the project including the design, supply, installation, and commissioning of Electrical, High Voltage, Communications, Security, CCTV, Nursecall, Fire, Solar and IT. The new hospital is accommodated with an emergency department, clinical health rooms, acute and sub- acute wards, maternity ward, day surgery wards and operating theatres, administration, plant, and kitchen areas.
